continuing the mushroom motif, this wallpaper explores the duality and deceptive nature of mushrooms that have become aesthetic objects yet can be dangerous or even deadly
at first glance the toadstools draw you in with their bright and blending shades of green, yellow, magenta a top of what appears to be a floral pattern. the fungi amongst the flora sprout on your wall. the blurring hues and tones attract you in to have a closer look as the mushrooms sprawl across the surface. pressing your face against the wallpaper reveals the underlying pattern of what you believed to be flora, is in actuality spore prints from fungi. however, you think to yourself “aren’t mushroom prints supposed to be brown or darker shades? i wonder what species of fungus prints white?” hmm, whatever species they are, they produce a beautiful pattern draping the walls. a few hours later you begin to experience nausea and some vomiting, and you appear to be yellowing. it’s only a matter of time...
